O Autor

Autor de 30 livros sobre a história de Joinville, de Santa Catarina e de empresas e instituições da região norte do Estado.

Joinvilense, nascido em 1949, é autor e jornalista desde 1968 e mantém artigos semanais no jornal A Notícia há três décadas.
Publica obras regularmente desde 1975. Sobre Joinville destacam-se os títulos:

História de Joinville, uma abordagem crítica (1981)
História Econômica de Joinville (1986)
Joinville, a Construção da Cidade (1993)
Tempos Modernos – A Presença dos Italianos em Joinville (2009)

Exerceu o cargo de editorialista no jornal A Notícia no período de 1979 a 2007. Nos anos 2002 – 2004 foi diretor do jornal em Florianópolis. Formado em História e Direito, é Mestre em Educação e Cultura. Foi diretor do Arquivo Histórico e da Biblioteca Pública de Joinville, integrou o Conselho Estadual e Municipal de Cultura e é membro do Instituto Histórico e Geográfico de Santa Catarina, pelo qual foi homenageado com a comenda Joaquim Manoel de Almeida Coelho, em 2005.

No mesmo ano recebeu o título de Cidadão Benemérito de Joinville e a Medalha Anita Garibaldi, do governo de Santa Catarina.
